TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team continues their 2024 schedule traveling to compete in the Marilyn Scribner Invitational hosted by Wheaton College on Friday September 13, and Saturday, September 14.Â
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters the weekend tournament with a record of 3-5 overall this season.Â
* The team comes off a loss to Greenville in the final match of their home tournament with a final score of 3-1.
* Rose-Hulman went 1-2 in their first home tournament of the season picking up a win against Olivet in their home opener 3-2.

Hannah Bergfeld was named the HCAC Player of the Week after becoming the sixth person in school history to record a triple-double in a match.Â
* Bergfeld recorded a triple-double against Olivet finishing the match with 10 kills, 22 assists, and 14 digs.
* Bergfeld repeated her performance in the next match recording another triple-double against Trine with 10 kills, 27 assists, and 17 digs.Â

Desiree Beverley has been the impact maker offensively leading the team with 102 kills and 2.91 kills per set.

Lily Ebright has been a standout defensively leading the team and the conference with 271 digs averaging 7.74 digs per set.
* Ebright ranks second in NCAA Division III this season with 7.74 digs per set and leads NCAA Division III with 271 total digs so far this year.Â
*The Fightin' Engineers have been selected to finish fifth in this year's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll receiving 46 points.Â
* Rose-Hulman finished in sixth place in the conference last season with a 15-14 record overall and a 4-5 conference record.Â
* The squad returns two all-conference players from last year includingÂ

* Ebright has been named the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year in the last two seasons.Â
* After competing in the Wheaton Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Rose-Hulman will return home to face DePauw on Wednesday, September 18 at 7 PM.Â

* Wheaton enters the weekend with a record of 5-2 overall this season.
* The team comes off a loss to Hope College on Wednesday night with a final score of 3-0.
* Wheaton had a strong performance at the Wisconsin Lutheran Quad going 2-1 picking up wins over Wisconsin Lutheran 3-1 and Monmouth 3-0.
* Caroline Capps leads the team with 80 kills this season averaging 4.21Â kills per set.
* Grace Autry leads the defense with 96 digs and 5.05Â digs per set.Â
* After hosting the Marilyn Scribner Invitational, Wheaton will travel to face Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, September 18 at 7 PM.Â

* Lawrence enters the weekend with a record of 4-5 overall this season.Â
* The Vikings come off a win against Alverno on Wednesday with a final score of 3-0.
* Lawrence performed well going 3-1 in the Blue Angel Bash picking up wins against Alverno, Mount Mary, and Maranatha Baptist with final scores of 3-0.Â
* Margaret Hahnke leads the team this season with 98 kills averaging 3.92 kills per set.Â
* Daphne Piotrowski leads the defense with 95 digs averaging 3.8 digs per set.Â
* After competing in the Wheaton Invitational, Lawrence will host the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 PM.Â
AURORA NOTES:
* Aurora enters the weekend with a record of 2-4 overall this season.Â
* The Spartans are coming off losses to St. Catherine 3-0 and Wisconsin-Oshkosh 3-1.Â
* Lulu Torres leads the team with 57 kills this season averaging 2.71 kills per set.Â
* Hannah Evenson is the Spartan's defensive standout with 84 digs averaging 3.65 digs per set.
* After competing in the Wheaton Invite, Aurora will travel to face Marian on Wednesday, September 18 at 7 PM.Â
BELOIT NOTES:
* Beloit enters the weekend invite with a record of 1-1 to start the year.Â
* The team suffered a loss to Rockford 3-1 and defeated Alverno 3-2 so far this season.
* McKayla Simao leads Beloit with 18 kills this season averaging 2.0 kills per set.
* Selin Tufte leads the defense with 26 digs averaging 2.89 digs per set.
* After competing in the Wheaton Invite, Beloit will host Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 PM.Â
