TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team returns to action on the road in the Denison Tri-Match facing John Carroll and Denison on Saturday, September 21 at 2 PM and 4 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters the weekend competitions with a record of 5-8 overall this season.
* The team comes off a loss to DePauw on Wednesday night with a finals score of 3-1.

Lily Ebright has been a standout defensively leading all of NCAA DIII with 369 digs and ranking second in the nation with 7.10 digs per set.
*
Hannah Bergfeld became the sixth person in school history to record a triple-double in a match earlier this season.
* Bergfeld recorded a triple-double against Olivet with 10 kills, 22 assists, and 14 digs, and against Trine with 10 kills, 27 assists, and 17 digs.
* She currently leads the HCAC and ranks fourth in all of NCAA Division III with two triple-doubles this season.

Desiree Beverley has been the impact maker offensively leading the team with 138 kills averaging 2.65 kills per set.

Jillian Gregg has also been a playmaker on offense with 111 kills averaging 2.13 kills per set.
*
Amaya Harrell has been a staple on the defense leading the team with 26.0 blocks this season.
*The Fightin' Engineers have been selected to finish fifth in this year's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll receiving 46 points.
* Rose-Hulman finished in sixth place in the conference last season with a 15-14 record overall and a 4-5 conference record.
* The squad returns two all-conference players from last year including
Lily Ebright and
Jillian Gregg.
* Ebright has been named the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year in the last two seasons.
* After traveling to Denison, Rose-Hulman will return home for their second home tournament of the season. The team will kick off the tournament facing Illinois College on Friday, September 27 at 7:30 PM.
JOHN CARROLL NOTES:
* The Blue Streaks enter the weekend with a record of 8-3 overall this season.
* The team comes off a win over Kean University with a final score of 3-1.
* John Carroll is led by Abby Bednar with 95 kills averaging 2.50 kills per set.
* Olivia Mogyordy is the defensive standout for John Carroll with a team-high 115 digs averaging 3.48 digs per set.
* Kendra Dziubinski has been a force at the net for the Blue Streaks with 32 blocks this season.
* After the Denison Tri-Match, John Carroll will return to action hosting Allegheny College on Wednesday, September 15 at 7 PM.
DENISON NOTES:
* Denison enters the weekend with a record of 5-6 overall this season.
* The team comes off a loss to Capital University with a final score of 3-1.
* Claire Hamilton leads the team with 130 kills this season averaging 3.10 kills per set.
* Sadie Habeeb is the standout on defense totaling a team-high 206 digs averaging 4.90 digs per set.
* Cailey Johns has also made an impact at the net leading Denison with 17 blocks this season.
* After hosting Rose-Hulman and John Carroll, the Big Red will host Marietta College on Wednesday, September 25 at 7 PM.
JOHN CARROLL SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman and John Carroll have only faced off one other time in the history of the programs.
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated John Carroll in the 2017 season with a final score of 3-0.
DENISON SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 1-6 overall against Denison.
* Denison has defeated the Fightin' Engineers in their last two meetings with final scores of 3-0 and 3-2.
* Rose-Hulman earned a win during the 2012 season with a final score of 3-2.
