TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team will open HCAC play traveling to face Bluffton on Saturday, September 28 at 1 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter their first conference match with a record of 1-6 overall this season.
* The team comes off a loss to #1 WashU with a final score of 5-0.
* The team picked up their first win of the season against Greenville with a final score of 3-1. 
* Sydnee Schuler was the standout in the team's big win recording the first two goals of her college career. 
* Kyra Hicks sealed the win with her first goal of the season in the final 10 minutes. 
* Lily Doré has been the keeper for the Fightin' Engineers all season long totaling 22 saves with a goals-against average of 2.29 and a save percentage of 57.9%.
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to finish third in this year's HCAC preseason poll receiving 64 points and one first-place vote. 
* The team finished fourth overall in the HCAC last season compiling a record of 8-4-5 overall and 5-2-1 in the HCAC. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in the semifinal round of the HCAC Tournament against Hanover College with a final score of 2-0. 
* The squad returns four all-conference players including Lily Doré, Kyra Hicks, Lauren Marquardt, and Kiana Martin. 
* The four all-conference returners along with Jayden Gibson have been named as players to watch for the upcoming season by the HCAC. 
* After facing the Beavers, Rose-Hulman will continue conference play hosting Transylvania on Saturday, October 5 at 1 PM. 

BLUFFTON NOTES:
* The Beavers stand at 3-3-2 overall heading into their weekend match against Rose-Hulman.
* The team comes off a draw against Ohio Christian with a final of 0-0.
* Katie Singleton and Mya Vernon both lead Bluffton with two goals scored this season. 
* Brielle Collier is the team's goalkeeper totaling 46 saves, a 1.38 goals-against average, and an 80.7% save percentage.
* Bluffton has been selected to finish 8th in the HCAC Preseason Polls receiving 31 points. 
* After facing the Fightin' Engineers, Bluffton will travel to take on Hanover on Saturday, October 5 at 1 PM.
