TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team returns to action on the road facing Principia College on Saturday, September 7 at 3 PM CT.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineer's enter their contest against the Panthers with a record of 0-1-1 so far this season.
* The team earned a draw in their season opener against Wilmington 1-1 and suffered a close loss to Wabash with a final of 2-1. 
* Eli Miller and Tyler Eldridge lead the team with one goal each in the first two matches. 
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the league's preseason poll receiving 79 points and 7 first-place votes.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season with a record of 12-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the HCAC to claim the #3 seed in the postseason tournament. 
* The team went on to win the HCAC Tournament taking out the top two teams in the league to advance to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament. 
* Rose-Hulman suffered a close loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Ohio Wesleyan with a final score of 2-0.
* The squad returns four all-conference players from last year's team including Peter Borger, John Biederstedt, Elijah Hardersen, and Chase Kedzior. 
* Along with the returning all-conference players, Julius Salinas, Jacob Pohl, and Tyler Eldridge have been named players to watch by the HCAC. 
* After traveling to Principia, Rose-Hulman will travel to take on DePauw on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 PM. 

PRINCIPIA NOTES: 
* Principia stands at 0-2 overall this season after suffering losses to Nebraska Wesleyan 5-0 and Wabash 2-1.
* Principia finished last season with a record of 3-12-1 overall and 1-7-1 in the SLIAC.
* The Panthers have been picked to finish eighth in the SLIAC preseason polls receiving 25 points. 
* The team returns eight starters from the previous season including All-Conference honorees Parker Boyce and Effenberg Joya. 
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, the team will hit the road to face Franklin College on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 PM. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* The Fightin' Engineers trail in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 13-18-1 against the Panthers. 
* Rose-Hulman has won the last seven matches between the two teams dating back to the 2011 season. 
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated Principia in their last contest during the 2018 season with a final score of 2-0.
* The team has a record of 5-6-1 on the road when facing Principia.
