TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team will put their undefeated HCAC record on the line traveling to take on Hanover on Wednesday, January 15 at 7:30 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman sits atop the HCAC standings with a record of 10-4 overall and 7-0 in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineers have started off hot in conference play taking down Manchester, Bluffton, Anderson, Earlham, Berea, Mount St. Joseph, and Transylvania to stand undefeated in the HCAC.
* This is the best start for the Fightin' Engineers since they joined the HCAC in the 2006-2007 season.
* If the team defeats Hanover, it will be the first time Rose-Hulman has gone 8-0 in conference play since joining the HCAC and they will become just the third team to start 8-0 in league history in the last 21 years.
* The team comes off an exciting win over Transylvania on Saturday with a final score of 82-79.

Joey Schmitz leads the team in scoring with 13.9 points per game. He also leads the team with 40 three-pointers made, 71 field goals made, and 28 steals.

Miles McGowen has been another standout averaging close to a double-double with 12.9 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 34 assists.

Kobe Stoudemire and
Daniel Savovic also average double-figures in scoring for the Fightin' Engineers with 10.9 and 10.4 points per game.
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked to finish fourth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 53 poll points.

Miles McGowen earned 2nd-team all-HCAC honors last season after leading the team with 15.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
* After traveling to face Hanover, Rose-Hulman will return home to host Franklin on Saturday, January 18 at 3 PM for Greek Night.
HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover currently ranks tied for fifth in the conference standings with a record of 7-7 overall and 3-4 in the HCAC.
* The team comes off a conference win against Earlham with a final score of 78-59.
* The Panthers are led by Coleman Sater averaging 13.4 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game this season.
* The team has two other players averaging double figures including Luke Miller (11.9) and Malachi McNair (10.5).
* Hanover was picked to finish second in the HCAC preseason poll this year receiving 68 points and one first-place vote.
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, the team will host Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, January 18 at 2 PM.
SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 46-60 overall against Hanover.
* The team has lost their last seven meetings against the Panthers dating back to the 2021-22 season.
* Hanover swept the Fightin' Engineers during last year's regular season winning both games with scores of 74-59 and 75-51.
* Rose-Hulman fell to the Panthers in the first round of the HCAC Tournament last season with a score of 62-58.
* The Fightin' Engineers have an away record of 12-25 all-time when traveling to face Hanover.
