TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will continue conference play hitting the road to take on Transylvania on Saturday, January 25 at 1 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 8-9 overall and 5-5 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers rank in sixth place in the conference just one game out of third place trailing Transylvania, Hanover, Franklin, Mount St. Joseph, and Anderson.
* The team comes off a hard-fought victory over Manchester with a final score of 53-46.

Jamie Baum has been the star for Rose-Hulman this year, leading the team with 17.1 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.
* She is also shooting 39.7% from beyond the arc and totaling 37 steals, 26 blocks, and 47 assists, leading the team in all four categories.

Sophia Reese and
Emma Schipp have been productive scorers for the Fightin' Engineers, averaging 9.8 and 9.5 points per game.
* Schipp also ranks second on the team with 6.0 rebounds per game and 42 assists.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 46 poll points.

* Transylvania enters the weekend with a record of 11-5 overall and 9-1 in the HCAC.
* The Pioneers rank first in the conference with a 9-1 record so far this season.
* The team has won their last six contest against conference opponents.
* Sadie Wurth leads the team with 13.3 points per game this season.
* The Pioneers have two other players averaging double figures including Sierra Kemelgor and Riley Flinn with 12.6 and 11.0 points per game.
* Flinn is the team's leading rebounder with 7.9 rebounds per game this season.
* Transylvania has been picked to win the HCAC in the league's preseason poll receiving 72 points and three first-place votes.
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, Transylvania will travel to Berea on Wednesday, January 29 at 7 PM.
