Women's Basketball Looks to Extend Win Streak Traveling to MSJ Wednesday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will look to extend their win streak to six by traveling to take on Mount St. Joseph in HCAC action Wednesday at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands atop the HCAC in a four-way tie for first place with a record of 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineers come off a conference win over Berea with a score of 71-68 led by Emma Schipp recording her first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
* The team has won their last five games defeating Earlham 74-59, Anderson 83-67, Greenville 63-54, Spalding 48-47, and Berea 71-68.
* Emma Schipp was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week for her performance against Berea after recording her first career double-double with career-highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds. 
Jamie Baum has been the star for Rose-Hulman this year, leading the team with 17.8 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 43.8% from beyond the arc and totaling 30 steals and 18 blocks, leading the team in all three categories.
* Schipp and Sophia Reese have also been productive scorers, averaging close to double figures with 9.8 and 9.3 points per game. 
* Schipp also ranks second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per game. 
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 46 poll points. 
Jamie Baum earned 1st-team all-HCAC honors last season.
* After traveling to face Mount St. Joseph, Rose-Hulman will return home to host Transylvania in HCAC action on Saturday, January 11 at 1 PM. 

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH NOTES:
* Mount St. Joseph currently ranks fifth in the HCAC with a record of 8-4 overall and 3-2 in the HCAC.
* The Lions have won their last two games defeating Albion 68-65 and Manchester 65-60.
* Aniyah Murphy is the teams leading scorer with 13.8 points per game.
* Karlee Mills has also averaged double figures in scoring with 12.8 points per game. 
* Madison Drummonds has led the Lions on the glass with a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game this season.
* MSJ was picked to finish second in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 71 points and four first-place votes. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, MSJ will hit the road to take on Anderson on Saturday, January 11 at 1 PM. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 28-9 against the Lions.
* Mount St. Joseph swept the Fightin' Engineers last season defeating the team in overtime 66-62 in Terre Haute, and winning 62-55 in Cincinnati.
* Rose-Hulman has an away record of 13-6 all-time when traveling to face Mount St. Joseph.
