Football Welcomes Bluffton to Campus for Tackle Childhood Cancer Game

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Fightin' Engineer's football team will continue their conference schedule, hosting Bluffton on Saturday, October 25, at 2 PM for their Tackle Childhood Cancer Research Game. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 1-5 overall and 1-1 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers come off a loss to Baldwin Wallace in their last game with a final score of 52-20. 
* In their last HCAC game, the team completed an exciting fourth-quarter comeback to defeat the Franklin Grizzlies with a score of 35-34.
Jay Smith led Rose-Hulman with 150 yards rushing and three rushing touchdowns against the Grizzlies.
* He also added five receptions for 38 yards and one receiving touchdown.
* Smith scored all three fourth-quarter touchdowns against Franklin, including the game-winning touchdown reception in the final minute to complete the comeback win.
Jay Smith is the team's leading rusher with 457 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
Adam Yue leads the team under center with 671 yards passing and three passing touchdowns. 
Ben Klein is the top option for Rose-Hulman at receiver, totaling 191 yards on 19 catches with one touchdown this year. 
Rudy Griffing leads the defense with 50.0 tackles on the year. 
* He is joined by Gabe Adams, who leads the team with 6.5 tackles for loss, six QB hurries, and 3.5 sacks this season. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish third in the HCAC Preseason Poll, conducted by the league's head coaches. 
* The team earned 26 points in the preseason poll results. 
* Rose-Hulman finished last season in third place in the HCAC after earning an overall record of 5-5 and a conference record of 4-2. 
* The team returns five HCAC All-Conference selections from last year, including Jay SmithBen KleinMarshall KochWyatt Bell, and Antonio Barnes
* The Fightin' Engineers are led by Head Coach Jeff Sokol, who enters his 15th season with Rose-Hulman. Sokol has led Rose-Hulman to three HCAC Titles and two NCAA Playoff appearances in 2016 and 2021. 
* After hosting Bluffton, Rose-Hulman will travel to take on Manchester on Saturday, November 1, at 1:30 PM. 

BLUFFTON NOTES:
* Bluffton stands at 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the HCAC this season.
* The Beavers are coming off a loss to Mount St. Joseph University with a final score of 35-7.
* Tywuan Clark leads the team under center with 1171 passing yards and nine touchdown passes. 
* Jamarrion Banks and Jaivon Hudson both have over 300 yards rushing, with Banks leading the way, totaling 365 yards and four touchdowns. 
* Jashawn Wyckoff is the Beavers' top receiver with 493 yards and five touchdowns. 
* Devin Hogan leads the defense with 32.0 tackles and 8.0 tackles for loss. 
* Savon Gatlin is another force on the defensive end with 5.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss. 
* Bluffton was selected to finish sixth in the HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 14 points. 
* The team is led by Head Coach Chris Hedden in his first season with the Bluffton Beavers. 
* After traveling to face Rose-Hulman, Bluffton will return home to host Hanover College for Senior Day on Saturday, November 1, at 1:30 PM.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 18-3 against the Beavers. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have won the last 10 games against Bluffton, dating back to the 2015 season.
