BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Rose-Hulman competed at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational, where they recorded a fourth-place finish as a team.
Rose-Hulman thrived in numerous relay events, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 3x100-yard medley relay, with
Janey Leiker,
Avery Witt, and
Rithika Bangalore Mahesh achieving a time of 3:20.46.
The trio also came in second place in the 3x100 yard butterfly relay as they completed the race in 3:10.78.
Maria Beloreshka,
Olivia Boner,
Lilian Mahonski, and
Catherine Bath placed second overall in the 500-yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:05.23.
Bath, Beloreshka, and Boner completed the 3x100-yard backstroke relay in 3:20.70, taking third place.
The Fightin' Engineers added another third place in the 3x100-yard breaststroke relay, with
Ary Nelson,
Allison Kirk, and
Sara Mohtaj posting a time of 4:03.61.
Leiker, Boner, Mahonski, and Witt earned Rose's final top-three finish in relay events, placing third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:48.35.
In the solo events,
Catherine Bath placed second overall in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:31.56.
Witt would add a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, recording a time of 2:05.77.
Boner added a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, as she completed the race in 2:32.69.
The Fightin' Engineers will be back in action on Friday, November 7, as they host Anderson at 6 PM.
