Football Travels to Face Manchester in HCAC Action Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Fightin' Engineer's football team will continue their conference schedule, traveling to face Manchester on Saturday, November 1, at 1:30 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers come off a heartbreaking loss to Bluffton in conference play. 
* The team fell to the Beavers in double overtime with a final score of 30-27.
* Jay Smith is the team's leading rusher with 624 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
* Adam Yue leads the team under center with 845 yards passing and five passing touchdowns. 
* Ben Klein is the top option for Rose-Hulman at receiver, totaling 236 yards on 24 catches with one touchdown this year. 
* Rudy Griffing leads the defense with 64.0 tackles on the year. 
* He is joined by Gabe Adams, who leads the team with 8.5 tackles for loss, eight QB hurries, and 4.5 sacks this season. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish third in the HCAC Preseason Poll, conducted by the league's head coaches. 
* The team earned 26 points in the preseason poll results. 
* Rose-Hulman finished last season in third place in the HCAC after earning an overall record of 5-5 and a conference record of 4-2. 
* The team returns five HCAC All-Conference selections from last year, including Jay Smith, Ben Klein, Marshall Koch, Wyatt Bell, and Antonio Barnes. 
* The Fightin' Engineers are led by Head Coach Jeff Sokol, who enters his 15th season with Rose-Hulman. Sokol has led Rose-Hulman to three HCAC Titles and two NCAA Playoff appearances in 2016 and 2021. 
* After traveling to face Manchester, Rose-Hulman will return home to host Anderson on Saturday, November 8, at 2 PM.

MANCHESTER NOTES:
* Manchester stands at 0-7 overall this season and 0-3 in the HCAC this year. 
* The Spartans come off a loss to Hanover with a final score of 76-7. 
* Kaleb Hall is the team's quarterback with 1,157 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns this season.
* James Lewis is the team's leading rusher with 278 yards and five rushing touchdowns this year. 
* Zalin Ingram is the team's top receiver with 19 catches for 247 yards and two touchdowns. 
* Mason Daring leads the defense with 37.0 tackles.
* Ziare Sullivan has been a force on the defensive front with team-highs in tackles for loss with 8.5 and sacks with 7.0.
* The Spartans have been picked to finish seventh in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning six points. 
* The team is led by Head Coach Vann Hunt in his third season with Manchester. 
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, Manchester will travel to face Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, November 8, at 1:30 PM.

* The Fightin' Engineers lead the all-time series between both teams with a record of 26-8 overall against the Spartans. 
* Rose-Hulman has won 14 straight games against the Spartans, dating back to the 2010 season. 
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated Manchester last season with a final score of 70-7. 
* The last time Manchester beat Rose-Hulman was during the 2009 season with a final score of 20-17.
