TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team suffered a loss to Greenville over Homecoming Weekend in an exciting match with a final score of 4-3. This starts the team with a 0-1 record after their first dual meet of the season.
Rose-Hulman fell behind after dropping the point in the doubles competition. The No. 3 doubles team of
Kaitlyn Pfund and
Nova Gladden earned a victory with a final score of 6-4.
The Fightin' Engineers bounced back to win three of the singles matches.
Paige Mills earned a win at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-2;
Autumn Korey claimed a victory at No. 4 singles 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (11-9); and Gladden picked up a win at No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-3.
This wraps up the fall season for the team. The Rose-Hulman women's tennis squad will return to action in the spring, traveling to face Indiana Kokomo on Saturday, February 7, at 1:30 PM.
