TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team will hit the road to face Illinois Tech on Saturday, November 15, at 1 PM CT, 2 PM ET.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 0-1 overall this season after dropping their season opener to Wabash with a score of 85-68.

Joey Schmitz was the team's leading scorer with 20 points, shooting 8-12 from the field and 2-4 from beyond the arc.

Christian Torres and
Cole Pride also reached double figures in scoring with 11 and 10 points.
* Pride led the team on the glass with six rebounds in the contest.
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to finish second in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning 72 points and three first-place votes.
* The team returns Second Team All-HCAC and HCAC Newcomer of the Year honoree
Joey Schmitz for his sophomore season.
* Schmitz led the team last year with 13.8 points per game and 48 steals.
* Schmitz also broke a 34-year-old Rose-Hulman single-season record for three-pointers made with 81.

* The team is led by Head Coach
Nick Sales in his fourth season with the Fightin' Engineers.
* The team finished last season with a 17-10 overall record and a 13-5 record in the HCAC.
* The team won their opening round game against Mount St. Joseph in the HCAC Tournament with a final score of 69-52.
* The Fightin' Engineers' season came to an end in the HCAC Semifinal against Franklin in a narrow loss, 66-63.
* After facing Illinois Tech, Rose-Hulman will compete in the Wheaton Tournament, facing UW-La Crosse in the first game on Friday, November 21, at 6 PM ET.
ILLINOIS TECH NOTES:
* The Scarlet Hawks stand at 0-1 overall this season with a loss to Trine in their home opener, 86-66.
* The team was led by John Davis III in their home opener with 20 points, shooting 7-14 from the field and 6-8 from the free throw line.
* Garrison Carter and Nick Galati also scored double figures with 13 points each.
* The team was led by Carter on the glass with five rebounds in the contest.
* Illinois Tech was selected to finish 13th in the NACC Preseason Poll, earning 46 points.
