CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman opened the season against Wabash, where the Little Giants took down the Fightin' Engineers by a score of 85-68.
The Little Giants thrived in the first half, where they shot 56.8% from the floor and 58.8% from three-point range. Their efficient shooting splits helped them take a 55-30 lead at the half.
The Fightin' Engineers battled back in the second half, where they outscored Wabash 38-30. RHIT knocked down 37.5% of their three pointers in the half, and they concluded the game shooting 42.9% from the floor (27-63).
Sophomore
Joey Schmitz put together a great performance, where he scored a team-high 20 points. Schmitz shot 8-12 from the floor, 2-4 from beyond the arc, and 2-2 at the charity stripe while adding two steals.
Junior
Cole Pride added ten points on 5-14 shooting from the floor. He recorded team-highs with six rebounds and three assists, while recording all three of Rose-Hulman's blocked shots.

Daniel Savovic scored nine points on 3-11 shooting, while hauling in five rebounds.

Christian Torres dropped 11 points in his RHIT debut, where he shot 5-6 from the floor with four rebounds.
The Fightin' Engineers will stay on the road, as they head to Chicago, Ill. to take on Illinois Tech. The match will tip off on Saturday, November 15, at 2 PM ET (1 PM CT).
