Rose-Hulman Concludes Historic Season at NCAA Tournament

CLEVELAND, Ohio. – Rose-Hulman concluded their phenomenal season in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Fightin' Engineers matched up with #6 Case Western Reserve, where the Spartans won by a score of 5-0.
 
The Spartans got off to a hot start, where they scored the opening goal seven minutes into the match. With momentum on their side, they scored four goals in the first half, while adding their fifth goal in the 46th minute.
 
Rose-Hulman's defense stepped up in the second half, where they did not allow a goal in the final 44 minutes of action.
 
Ally Smith, Camille Clark, Taylor Beede, and Brooke Spurlock played all 90 minutes, where Spurlock finished the match with six saves, one shy of her career high.
 
The Fightin' Engineers finish the season with an 11-7-2 overall record, where they went 9-1-1 against HCAC opponents.  The team's 11 wins rank ninth in school history, while Rose-Hulman won their fourth HCAC Tournament Championship.
 
The team bolstered a total of nine all-conference honorees, which are the third most in a season in school history.
 
Camille Clark was named the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year, where she was also named to the All-HCAC 1st Team alongside Lauren Marquardt, Ally Smith, and Katie Choi.
 
Sydnee Schuler, Brooke Spurlock, Iliana Hernandez, and Riley Heasley garnered All-HCAC 2nd Team Honors, while Alex Adams was named to the All-HCAC 3rd Team.
 
Rose-Hulman's sensational senior class of Camille Clark, Lauren Marquardt, Katie Choi, Alex Adams, Brooke Spurlock, Alexis Willour, Elizabeth Johnson, and Carolina Snyder-Perez has wrapped up their careers as two-time HCAC Champions, winning the conference title in both the 2025 and 2022 seasons.
