Fightin' Engineers Place 29th at NCAA DIII Championships

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Fightin' Engineers have capped off their historic season with a 29th-place finish, recording 743 points at the 2025 NCAA DIII Championships. The 29th-place finish is the second-best result in school history, as Rose-Hulman's best performance was an 18th-place finish in 1974.
 
 Joshua Pohle led the way for Rose-Hulman, as he placed 83rd overall with a time of 25:11.6. Pohle concludes his career with the Fightin' Engineers' best time and placement at the NCAA Championships since 1974.
 
Rhys Phelps posted Rose-Hulman's second-best time, as he achieved a 189th-place finish with a time of 25:55.7. Eduardo del Rosal added RHIT's third-best finish, taking 219th overall with a time of 26:10.6.
 
Will Boschen took 245th-place as he completed the race in 26:25.9. Chris Lynn recorded a time of 26:37.0 to finish in 256th place, while John Gries rounded out Rose-Hulman's runners with a time of 26:49.1 to take 265th-place.
 
After coming off a first-place finish at the Great Lakes Regional, Sam Rinker was unable to complete the NCAA Championship race due to injury.
 
Wisconsin-La Crosse won the championship with a team score of 82. SUNY Geneseo placed second with a score of 132, while Wartburg placed third with a 133 score.
 
Emmanuel Leblond of John Hopkins won the individual championship as he achieved a time of 23:35.0. Mohammed Bati of Augsburg placed second with a time of 23:39.6, while Isaac Vanwestrienen of Cornell College recorded a third-place finish in 23:39.8.
