TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team will wrap up the 2025 calendar year hosting Olivet on Tuesday, December 23, at 1 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 6-4 overall and undefeated at the top of the conference at 4-0 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers come off a tough loss to DePauw on Saturday with a final score of 78-66.

Joey Schmitz currently leads the team with 15.1 points per game, shooting 50.9% from the floor and 44.8% from beyond the arc.
* Schmitz also leads the team in steals with 21 and minutes, averaging 30.7 minutes per game.

Cole Pride has also been a standout, recording 13.4 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and a team-high 18 blocked shots.
*
Christian Torres leads the team on the glass with 8.2 rebounds per game, while also totaling 9.4 points per game this season.
*
Daniel Savovic has been another difference maker with 11.3 points per game and a team-high 28 assists.
* The Fightin' Engineers are currently shooting 47.4% as a team and 31.1% from beyond the arc.
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to finish second in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning 72 points and three first-place votes.
* The team returns Second Team All-HCAC and HCAC Newcomer of the Year honoree

* The team is led by Head Coach
Nick Sales in his fourth season with the Fightin' Engineers.
* After hosting Olivet, Rose-Hulman will return to conference play, hosting Berea on Saturday, January 3, at 3 PM.
OLIVET NOTES:
* Olivet stands at 2-6 overall this season.
* The team has lost four straight games, most recently falling to Carthage with a final score of 92-82.
* Nathan Richardson is the top scorer for the Comets with 14.9 points per game.
* Conner Schipper also averages double figures with 10.6 points and is the team's leading rebounder with 7.9 rebounds per game.
* Sean Shenker and Porter Kretschman are other effective weapons for Olivet, averaging 9.8 and 9.6 points per game.
* As a team, Olivet is shooting 45.4% from the field and 35.5% from beyond the arc.
* Olivet was selected to finish fourth in the MIAA Preseason Poll, earning 23 points.
* The team is led by Head Coach Sam Hargraves in his seventh season with the Comets.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Olivet will travel to face Findlay on Tuesday, December 30, at 7 PM.
OLIVET SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series against Olivet with a record of 2-0 against the Comets.
* The Fightin' Engineers picked up a win in 2001 with a final score of 58-56, and defeated Olivet last season, in 2024, with a score of 74-65.
* Both of the team's previous meetings were at a neutral site.
* This will be the first time that Rose-Hulman will host Olivet in Hulbert Arena in program history.
