Rose-Hulman Battles the Beavers in HCAC Home Opener

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman will play in their first home game of the HCAC season as they face the Bluffton Beavers, Saturday, December 6 at 2 PM.
 
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have recorded a 0-7 mark on the year.
* The team lost to Manchester by a score of 78-63 in the HCAC opener.
* Julia Meyer is coming off a season-high 14 points, while shooting 4-6 from three-point range against the Spartans.
* On the season, Meyer is averaging 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 33.3% (8-24) from beyond the arc.
* Katelyn Fennell leads RHIT with 12.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
* Fennell has shot 46.8% (36-77) from the floor and 91.7% (11-12) at the free throw line.
* Kaia Peterson has added 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
* Peterson posted her first career double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds against Benedictine.
* She has been Rose-Hulman's most efficient scorer, shooting 49.1% (28-57) from the field.
* Emma Schipp has averaged 8.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game over the past five games.
* María Godoy Rodriguez has recorded three or more steals in four straight games, averaging 3.5 steals per game.
 
BLUFFTON NOTES:
* The Beavers have opened the season with a 4-2 record.
* Bluffton is coming off a 53-48 loss to Mt. St. Joseph in their conference opener.
* Madison Brown ranks second in the conference with 20.2 points per game on 48.9% shooting.
* Brown has scored 25 points or more in three games this season.
* Brown and Lacie Fenstermaker are tied for sixth in the HCAC with 9.2 rebounds per game.
* Fenstermaker has also scored 9.5 points per game while shooting 40.8% from the floor.
* Brown has recorded three double-doubles, while Fenstermaker has posted one double-double.
* Rachel Clark ranks second on the team with 11.3 points per game on 46.3% shooting.
* She has added 3.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while shooting 87.5% at the free throw line.

* This will be the 35th career matchup between Rose-Hulman and Bluffton.
