TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team suffered a tough loss to the Berea Mountaineers on Saturday with a final score of 86-53. This drops the team to 12-8 overall and 9-4 in the HCAC.

The Fightin' Engineers were led by BJ Wesley and Kobe Stoudemire with eight points each. Miles McGowen led the team on the boards with six rebounds.

After being tied 14-14 with 12:18 left in the first half, Berea put together an 18-3 run to build a substantial lead over Rose-Hulman. The Fightin' Engineers battled back to cut the deficit to 10 points at the halftime break with the Mountaineers in front 38-28.

Berea continued to be explosive on offense as they built their lead to as high as 35 points in the second half. The deficit proved to be too much to overcome for Rose-Hulman as Berea would hand them their fourth conference loss of the season.

The loss drops the Fightin' Engineers into fourth place in the HCAC rankings behind Anderson, Franklin, and Transylvania.

Rose-Hulman will look to bounce back next Wednesday, February 5 as they host Hanover at 7:30 PM.
