Women's Basketball Hosts MSJ in HCAC Showdown Wednesday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will continue conference play by hosting Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, February 12 at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:

* Rose-Hulman stands at 10-12 overall and 7-8 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers rank tied for sixth in the conference standings with Berea.
* The team comes off a road loss to Anderson with a final score of 75-68.
Jamie Baum has been the star for Rose-Hulman this year, leading the team with 16.0 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game.
* Baum is shooting 35.2% from beyond the arc and leads the team with 50 steals, 38 blocks, and 65 assists.
* Emma Schipp and Sophia Reese have been productive scorers for the Fightin' Engineers, averaging 9.1 and 9.0 points per game.
* Schipp also ranks second on the team with 5.7 rebounds per game and 57 assists.
* Earlier this season against Franklin, Jamie Baum reached a career milestone becoming the 11th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. 
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 46 poll points.
* After hosting Mount St. Joseph, Rose-Hulman will host Bluffton for Senior Day on Saturday, February 15, at 1 PM. 

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH NOTES:

* Mount St. Joseph stands at 16-6 overall and 11-4 in the HCAC this season.
* The team ranks second in the conference standings trailing Transylvania, leading the conference with a league record of 14-1.
* MSJ has won their last five games entering Wednesday's match up with the Fightin' Engineers. 
* The team comes off a win over Earlham with a final score of 87-63.
* Anyiah Murphy is the team's leading scorer with 14.5 points per game and 57 steals.
* Other double-figure scorers include Karlee Mills (13.5) and Madison Drummonds (12.2).
* Drummonds is also the team's leading rebounder with 8.3 rebounds per game. 
* Mount St. Joseph was picked to finish second in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 71 points and 4 first-place votes. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Mount St. Joseph will travel to face Transylvania on Saturday, February 15, at 1 PM.
