Women's Basketball Battles Bluffton on Senior Day Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will host Bluffton for Senior Day on Saturday, February 15, at 1 PM. The Senior Day presentation will take place prior to the start of the game. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:

* Rose-Hulman stands at 10-13 overall and 7-9 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers stand in seventh place in the HCAC standings.  
* The team comes off a loss to the Mount St. Joseph Lions with a final score of 68-56.
Jamie Baum has been the star for Rose-Hulman this year, leading the team with 16.4 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.
* Baum is shooting 35.1% from beyond the arc and leads the team with 50 steals, 38 blocks, and 67 assists.
* Sophia Reese and Emma Schipp have been productive scorers for the Fightin' Engineers, averaging 9.0 and 8.9 points per game.
* Schipp also ranks second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game and 58 assists.
* Earlier this season against Franklin, Jamie Baum reached a career milestone becoming the 11th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. 
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 46 poll points.
* After hosting Mount St. Joseph, Rose-Hulman will host Bluffton for Senior Day on Saturday, February 15, at 1 PM. 

BLUFFTON NOTES:

* Bluffton stands at 11-12 overall and 5-11 in the HCAC entering the weekend. 
* The team currently ranks tied for eighth in the conference standings with Manchester with a league record of 5-11.
* The Beavers come off a win over Manchester with a final score of 66-51. 
* Madison Brown leads the Beavers with 15.6 points per game this season. 
* Lindsey Smith is the team's leading rebounder with 7.8 rebounds per game. 
* Bluffton has been picked to finish eighth in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 26 points. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the Beavers will host Anderson for their Senior Day on Wednesday, February 19, at 7 PM.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 18-15 against the Beavers. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short to Bluffton earlier this season with a final score of 70-54.
