TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team brought home their fifth consecutive HCAC Championship on Saturday night, winning the meet by nearly 400 points. The team brought home nine school records and 13 HCAC event championships in the meet!

Vineet Ranade was named the HCAC Men's Swimmer of the Meet after taking home seven HCAC Championship, six school records, four HCAC meet records, four all-time HCAC records, and three B-cut times in the meet. Ranade becomes just the second swimmer in Rose-Hulman history to earn Swimmer of the Year multiple times.

Parker Siddons earned HCAC Men's Diver of the Meet honors after sweeping both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions this week. Siddons becomes just the second Fightin' Engineer to be named the Men's Diver of the Year, joining Peter Venema.

Trevor Wiley was also named the HCAC Men's Newcomer of the Meet after he won the 400 IM with a B-Cut time and finished second in both the 200 IM and the 200 Butterfly. Wiley is the eighth Rose-Hulman swimmer to earn Newcomer of the Year honors in the last eight seasons.

The 800 Freestyle Relay team of Vineet Ranade, Tommaso Calviello, Trevor Wiley, and Caleb Munger brought home a first place finish and a school record for the first HCAC event title of the meet on Wednesday night with a time of 6:45.24. The time breaks the Rose-Hulman school record, the HCAC Championship meet record, and the all-time HCAC record in the event.

On Thursday night, the Fightin' Engineers had a pair of individuals make their way into the record book. In the preliminary races, Vineet Ranade broke his own school record, HCAC meet record, and all-time HCAC record, and he added the first B-cut time of the meet with a time of 1:48.61 in the 200 IM. Caleb Munger also broke the school record, HCAC meet record, and all-time HCAC record as he broke Evan Sellers' 2022 record with a time of 4:33.09 in the 500 Freestyle.

Rose-Hulman capped off the second day of the meet with their fourth school record in the 400 Medley Relay as Caleb Munger, Carter Kirtz, Vineet Ranade, and Blaise Swartwood swam a time of 3:23.10.

Trevor Wiley broke the school record twice in the 400 IM by over 7 seconds and shattered the all-time HCAC record by over 3 seconds as he swam a 4:00.00 in the preliminary round and broke his own records in the finals with a B-Cut time of 3:58.44.

Eric Sinclair also swam his first-ever top-5 time in school history in the 100 Breaststroke as he took down Matt Smith's 22-year-old school record with a time of 56.15 in the preliminary round, and he topped his morning record in the evening as he swam a 55.37 to win the HCAC title.

Vineet Ranade won the HCAC title in the 200 Freestyle with a B-Cut time of 1:37.95, a time that was good enough to qualify for the 2024 NCAA Championship meet. Ranade also broke record in the morning time trials as he added his fourth school record of the meet in the 100 Backstroke as he broke Cam Gill's 2018 school record by nearly a second with the first sub-50.50 time in school history with a 49.59.

On Friday night, Rose-Hulman added another HCAC Championship in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Caleb Munger, Carter Kirtz, Vineet Ranade, and Nick Edwards grabbing the title with a time of 1:32.69.

On Saturday night, the Fightin' Engineers brought home HCAC titles in the 200 Backstroke (Caleb Munger), 200 Breaststroke (Vineet Ranade), and 400 Freestyle Relay.

Vineet Ranade broke the school record, HCAC meet record, HCAC all-time record, and tallied B-cut times in the 100 Freestyle and the 200 Breaststroke on the final night of competition.

The title for the men is the fifth consecutive HCAC title and the sixth overall HCAC championship.
