TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team will continue the HCAC Tournament competing in the semifinal round against Franklin College on Friday, February 28, at 7 PM. The remainder of the HCAC Tournament will be hosted by Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers currently stand at 17-9 overall this season.
* The team locked in the #3 seed in the HCAC Tournament after finishing the year with a conference record of 13-5.
* Rose-Hulman has won their last five games against conference opponents.
* The team comes off a dominant win over Mount St. Joseph in the opening round of the HCAC Tournament with a final score of 69-52.

Joey Schmitz leads the team with 13.5 points per game, 76 three-pointers made, and 46 steals in his breakout freshman campaign.
*
Miles McGowen has been another standout, averaging shy of a double-double with 12.2 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game.
*
Kobe Stoudemire is also averaging double figures in scoring with 11.6 points per game and leads the team with 74 assists.
* Schmitz broke the HCAC record for most three-pointers made in a single season recording 59 made triples on the year.
* Rose-Hulman shattered the school record for three-pointers made in a single game with 20 triples earlier this season in their win over Manchester.
* The previous record of 15 made three-pointers was set in 2018, and the team's total was just one shy of the all-time HCAC record of 21, set back in 2014 by Defiance College.

Miles McGowen reached a career milestone earlier this season as he became the 33rd player in school history to join the 1,000-point club.
* He is the first Fightin' Engineer to reach this milestone since Craig McGee and John Czarnecki in 2020.
* Earlier this season, Rose-Hulman became just the fifth team in the last 21 years of the HCAC to start the conference season 7-0.
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked to finish fourth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 53 poll points.
* With a win, the Fightin' Engineers will move on to the HCAC Championship where they will face either Anderson or Hanover on Saturday, March 1, at 5 PM.
FRANKLIN NOTES:
* Franklin stands at 19-7 overall this season.
* The team earned the #2 seed in the conference tournament finishing the year with a 14-4 mark against HCAC opponents.
* The Grizzlies are coming off a thrilling win over Berea in the opening round of the HCAC Tournament with a final score of 88-85 in overtime.
* Lynn King leads the team with 11.6 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game.
* Other double-figure scorers include Cooper Matthews (11.4), Jessie Morgan III (11.2), Braden Flanagan (11.2), and Cody Samples (10.8).
* Matthews is also the team's leader in assists with 60 and steals with 53.
* Franklin was selected to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 47 points.
* With a win, the Grizzlies will move on to the HCAC Championship where they will face either Anderson or Hanover on Saturday, March 1, at 5 PM.
SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails the Grizzlies in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 44-50 against Franklin.
* The Fightin' Engineers split this season's contests against Franklin, falling at home 68-61 and defeating the Grizzlies on the road 63-61.
* The team has an all-time away record of 16-15 when traveling to face Franklin.
