Women's Basketball Travels to Anderson Saturday for HCAC Matchup

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will travel to take on Anderson in HCAC action on Saturday, February 8, at 1 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:

* Rose-Hulman stands at 10-11 overall and 7-7 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers rank tied for fifth in the HCAC standings with Anderson.  
* The team comes off a hard-fought win over Hanover with a final score of 76-70. 
Jamie Baum has been the star for Rose-Hulman this year, leading the team with 16.4 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game.
* Baum is shooting 34.8% from beyond the arc and leads the team with 46 steals, 36 blocks, and 64 assists.
Sophia Reese and Emma Schipp have been productive scorers for the Fightin' Engineers, averaging 9.1 and 8.8 points per game.
* Schipp also ranks second on the team with 5.8 rebounds per game and 54 assists.
* Earlier this season against Franklin, Jamie Baum reached a career milestone becoming the 11th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. 
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 46 poll points.
* After traveling to Anderson, Rose-Hulman will host Mount St. Joseph University on Wednesday, February 12, at 7 PM. 

ANDERSON NOTES:

* Anderson enters the weekend with a record of 10-10 overall and 7-7 in the HCAC this season. 
* Their 7-7 league mark ranks them tied for fifth in the HCAC standings with Rose-Hulman. 
* The team comes off two losses to Transylvania 57-39 and Manchester 91-86.
* Izzy Davis leads the team with 13.7 points per game, 99 assists, and 30 steals on the season.
* Other double-figure scorers include Bella Larrison (10.1) and Sarah Sewak (10.0).
* The Ravens have been selected to finish seventh in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 36 points.
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, Anderson will continue conference play by hosting Hanover on Wednesday, February 12, at 7 PM.

SERIES HISTORY:

* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series against Anderson with a record of 22-25 against the Ravens. 
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated Anderson earlier this season with a final score of 83-67.
* Rose-Hulman has earned the win in three of the last four games against Anderson with the only loss coming in overtime last season with a final score of 71-68.
* The Fightin' Engineers have an all-time away record of 9-14 when traveling to face the Ravens.
