TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team earned a win over HCAC opponent Hanover College with a final score of 6-1 on Saturday. The win improves the team to 5-5 overall and 3-0 in the HCAC.
Rose-Hulman swept the doubles competition to take the early lead in the match. The No. 1 doubles team of
Tim Eckermann and
Grant Paradowski picked up a win 6-1.
The No. 2 doubles team of
Joao Henrique Nossar and
Eli McIntyre earned a win 6-4. The No. 3 doubles team of
Chris Lian and
Owen Reynolds also earned a win with a final of 6-1.
The team continued to dominate the match, winning five of the six singles matches to claim the conference victory.
Eckermann earned a win at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-4. Reynolds topped his opponent at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-3. Paradowski rounded out the top three singles wins for the Fightin' Engineers at No. 4 singles with a score of 6-2, 6-2.
Rose-Hulman will return to action hosting Trine on Sunday, March 16, at 1 PM at the Terre Haute Tennis & Pickleball Center.
