TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team took on the Trine University Thunder on Sunday. The team fell short to the Thunder in a close match with a final score of 4-3. This drops the team to 3-9 overall this season.Â
Rose-Hulman took the lead after winning two of the three doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles team of
Lia Taylor and
Addie Patterson picked up a competitive victory 7-6 (7-3). The No. 3 doubles team of
Kaitlyn Pfund and
Nova Gladden also earned a win 6-3.Â
Taylor led the Fightin' Engineers in singles competition with a win at No. 2 singles 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (11-9).
Julia Burt also earned a win at No. 6 singles with a score of 6-3, 6-4.Â
Rose-Hulman will return to action on the road against Anderson in HCAC action on Saturday, March 22, at 10 AM.Â
