DANVILLE, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers wrapped up their weekend series against #23 Centre on Sunday, falling to the Colonels with a final score of 3-1. This drops the team to 1-3 overall this season.
Centre took the early lead with a run scored in the bottom of the second to stand ahead 1-0. The Fightin' Engineers answered to tie the game after a single by
Colten Brown and an error by the Colonels brought in a run by
Mason Rasmussen.
Centre was able to regain the lead after scoring runs in the seventh and eighth innings to claim the win over the Fightin' Engineer in the last game of the weekend.
Camden Judson had a quality start for Rose-Hulman pitching 5.0 innings with three strikeouts.
Andrew Noblitt suffered the loss on the mound after pitching 2.0 innings.
Rose-Hulman will look to bounce back against the Greenville Panthers on the road this Wednesday, March 5, at 3 PM CT.
