Women's Tennis Travels to Florida for Four Matches this Week

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team will travel to Florida for their Spring Trip to take on four competitors over the course of the week.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:

* Rose-Hulman stands at 1-5 overall this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers picked up their lone win of the season with a 5-2 decision over the Earlham Quakers.
Emerson Donaldson leads the team in wins this season with a 4-4 overall record in singles play.
Nova Gladden has also earned four singles wins to stand at 4-3 overall this season.
* In doubles play, Lia Taylor and Gladden lead the team with five wins each this year.
Addie Patterson and Donaldson total four doubles wins in their freshman campaigns.
* The Fightin' Engineers were selected to finish second in the HCAC preseason poll, tied with Anderson with 39 points. 
* Rose-Hulman brought home a 2nd-place finish in the conference last season after falling to Transylvania in the HCAC Championship match. 
* The Fightin' Engineers brought in nine new players to their roster this season with players from five different states including Indiana (3), Illinois (2), Arizona (2), Wisconsin (1), and Kentucky (1). The team returns just three players from last year's team.
* After competing in Florida, the Fightin' Engineers will return to conference play hosting Hanover on Saturday, March 15, at 10 AM.
