INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Rose-Human men's tennis team traveled to take on Marian (IN) on Wednesday afternoon. The team suffered a narrow loss with a final score of 4-3. This drops the team to 7-6 overall this season.
The Fightin' Engineers got off to a good start, sweeping the doubles competition to take the early 1-0 lead.
Tim Eckermann and
Ervin Perkowski earned the win at No. 1 doubles with a score of 7-5.
Chris Lian and
Owen Reynolds picked up a victory at No. 2 doubles 6-4.
Eli McIntyre and
Grant Paradowski finished the sweep after earning wins at No. 3 doubles 6-2.
Rose-Hulman suffered the loss in the match after only winning two of the six singles matches. Perkowski led the team with a win in No. 3 singles 6-4, 7-6 (10-8). Lian also earned a win at No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-2.
The Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team will look to bounce back this weekend, hosting Berea and Wabash on Saturday, March 29, at 12 PM and 4 PM.
