Men's Tennis Hosts Doubleheader Against Berea and Wabash Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team will host Berea and Wabash in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 29, at 12 PM and 4 PM. Both matches will be played indoors at the Terre Haute Tennis and Pickleball Center. 

ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S TENNIS NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers stand at 7-6 overall and 4-0 in the HCAC this season. 
* The team comes off a narrow loss to Marian on Wednesday with a final score of 4-3. 
Owen Reynolds, Ervin Perkowskiand Grant Paradowski all lead the team with 10 singles wins each this season.
Chris Lian and Eli McIntyre both lead the team with 10 doubles wins this year. 
Grant Paradowski has broken into the top 10 in career wins, ranking seventh with 53 wins in his career. 
* Rose-Hulman was picked as the favorite to repeat as HCAC Champions in the preseason coaches poll, receiving 48 points and six of the seven first-place votes.
* The Fightin' Engineers ended last season winning their eighth conference regular season and tournament title in program history. They advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time where they fell 5-3 to Illinois Tech in the opening round.
* Rose-Hulman brought in five new players to their roster this season from all over the world. The freshman class has players from Virginia (2), Indiana, Germany, and Brazil.
* After hosting Berea and Wabash, Rose-Hulman will look ahead to hosting DePauw on Wednesday, April 2, at 5 PM. 

BEREA NOTES:
* Berea stands at 0-9 overall this season and 0-1 in the HCAC. 
* The team comes off a loss to Transylvania with a score of 7-0. 
* Berea will host LaGrange College on Friday, March 28, at 4:30 PM before facing Rose-Hulman Saturday. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Berea will host Anderson on Saturday, April 12. 

BEREA SERIES HISTORY:
* This is the first time both teams will face each other in program history.

WABASH NOTES:
* Wabash stands at 8-6 overall this season, heading into the weekend competition. 
* The team comes off a loss to Haverford College on Wednesday with a final score of 4-0.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the team will host Denison on Sunday, April 6, at 1:30 PM. 

WABASH SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails the all-time series against Wabash with a record of 12-38 overall against the Little Giants.
* Wabash won the last match up in 2023 between both teams with a final score of 7-2. 
* Before that, Rose-Hulman had won the last two matches in 2022 and 2019 with scores of 5-4 and 8-1.
* The team has a record of 2-6 when hosting Wabash.
