TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team hosted Berea on Saturday in HCAC action. The team earned a dominant win over the Mountaineers with a final score of 7-0. This improves the team to 5-9 overall and 4-0 in the HCAC.
Rose-Hulman got a strong start to the afternoon, sweeping the doubles competition to take an early lead. The No. 1 doubles team of
Lia Taylor and
Addie Patterson won 6-0,
Emerson Donaldson and
Nova Gladden won at No. 2 doubles 6-2, and
Brooke Carpenter and
Kaitlyn Pfund picked up a win at No. 3 doubles 6-0.
Rose-Hulman continued their success, winning all six of the doubles matches to complete the shutout win over Berea. Taylor earned the win at No.1 singles 6-0, 6-1. Donaldson earned a victory at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-1. Gladden rounded out the top three singles players for Rose-Hulman with a win at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0.
The Fightin' Engineers women's tennis team will continue conference play, hosting Manchester on Thursday, April 3, at 5:30 PM.
