ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team suffered a competitive loss to Cedarville on Tuesday with a final score of 5-2. This drops the team to 3-5 overall this season.
Cedarville was able to take the lead after sweeping the doubles competition. The No. 1 doubles team of
Tim Eckermann and
Ervin Perkowski played an exciting match, falling in a close loss 7-6 (7-4).
Owen Reynolds and
Grant Paradowski earned the Fightin' Engineers singles wins.
Reynolds claimed the victory at No. 3 singles with a final score of 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Paradowski picked up the win in No. 5 singles with a score of 7-5, 7-5.
The Fightin' Engineers will wrap up their Florida Trip facing Saint Mary's (MN) on Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 AM. The team will also scrimmage #20 Kenyon on Thursday at 2:30 PM.
