ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Fightin' Engineers women's tennis team fell short in the last match of their Florida Trip, suffering a loss to Saint Mary's (MN) with a final score of 4-3. This drops the team to 2-8 overall this season.
Rose-Hulman lost the doubles point after dropping No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles team of
Camille Clark and
Emerson Donaldson earned a tight win with a final score of 7-6 (7-4).
The Fightin' Engineers continued to battle making it a close match after winning three singles matches.
Donaldson picked up a win in No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-4,
Nova Gladden won at No. 5 singles 6-4, 7-6 (9-7), and
Isha Mannan earned a win at No. 6 singles 6-2, 0-6, 1-0 (12-10).
The Fightin' Engineers will return home to take on Hanover College in HCAC action on Saturday, March 15 at, 10 AM.
