FRANKLIN, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team picked up their sixth HCAC win of the season after defeating Franklin on Tuesday with a final score of 7-0. This improves the team to 10-9 overall and 6-0 in the HCAC.
The Fightin' Engineers started the match strong, sweeping the doubles competition.
Tim Eckermann and
Chris Lian earned a win in the No. 1 spot with a score of 6-2;
Grant Paradowski and
Ervin Perkowski claimed a win at No. 2 doubles, 6-2; and the No. 3 team of
Eli McIntyre and
Ephraim Guthrie won with a score of 6-3.
Rose-Hulman continued their momentum into singles play to earn the shutout win. Eckermann picked up a win at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0; Perkowski won at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-4; and Paradowski won at No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-1.
The men's tennis team will wrap up their regular season, traveling to face Transylvania on Saturday, April 26, at 2 PM.
