TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Fightin' Engineers women's tennis team had five student-athletes receive recognition from the HCAC in their annual awards release.
Lia Taylor and
Emerson Donaldson earned First Team All-HCAC, while
Camille Clark,
Nova Gladden, and
Addie Patterson received honorable mention.
Taylor highlighted the awards, earning the HCAC Newcomer of the Year. Taylor finished the regular season with a record of 5-2 in singles play and 6-1 in doubles against conference opponents. She has been a key contributor representing Rose-Hulman at No. 1 and No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles this year.Â
Donaldson has been another key player for the Fightin' Engineers. She totals a record of 5-2 in singles and 5-2 in doubles play in conference matches. She has made an impact representing Rose-Hulman at No. 1 and No. 2 singles and No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.Â
The women's tennis team earned a first-round bye in the HCAC Tournament as the #2 seed. The team will face the winner of Earlham and Franklin in the semifinal round on Saturday, May 3, at 3 PM.Â
