KOKOMO, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman baseball team wrapped up their 2025 season after a loss to Mount St. Joseph in the HCAC Tournament with a final score of 9-5.
Mount St. Joseph got on the board first, scoring three runs in the first inning. Rose-Hulman bounced back after a single by
Jackson Summers brought in a run by
Colton Brown, and a single by Brown scored runs by
Tyler Otroszko and
Jonathan Oliger to tie the game at 3-3.
The Lions jumped back in front, scoring six unanswered runs across the third, fourth, and fifth innings to build a commanding lead of 9-3.
The Fightin' Engineers tried to spark a comeback in the sixth inning.
Ryland Hixon hit a double to bring in a run by
Mark Serdinak, and Oliger singled to score a run by Summers to make the score 9-5.
MSJ would hold off Rose-Hulman to claim the win and eliminate the Fightin' Engineers from the HCAC Tournament.
Summers had a strong performance, going 2-4 with one run and one RBI.
Brad Nardi suffered the loss on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings with two strikeouts.
The Fightin' Engineers finish the 2025 season with a record of 23-19 overall.
