TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers open the 2025 season with consecutive out-of-state road matches. Rose-Hulman will take on Greenville on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7 PM, before matching up with Wilmington on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 2 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to win the HCAC crown in this year's preseason poll as they earned 74 points and three first place votes.
* Rose-Hulman is coming off a 10-5-3 season, where they posted an undefeated 8-0-1 record in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineers were named 2024 HCAC Regular Season Champions, before concluding the year at the HCAC Tournament Semifinals.
* The team returns three all-conference first teamers in senior
Jacob Pohl and sophomores
Ryan Shapiro and
Cameron Hannah.
* Hannah was also named the 2024 HCAC Newcomer of the Year.
* Rose-Hulman returns their top three scorers from last season in Hannah (seven goals), Shapiro (six goals) and sophomore
Eli Miller (six goals).

Oliver Fila is also back for his junior season, after leading Rose-Hulman with five assists.

Sean Helliwell garnered his ninth HCAC Coach of the Year Award in 2024.
GREENVILLE NOTES:
* Greenville has been picked to finish third in the SLIAC with 50 points.
* The Panthers are coming off an 8-7-4 season where they went 6-1-2 in conference play.
* Greenville won five of their final seven games to close out the regular season.
* They concluded the year at the SLIAC Semi-Finals, losing 2-1 to Spalding.
* The team returns points leader in senior Andres Garcia. Garcia recorded seven goals and nine assists in 2024.
SERIES HISTORY:
* This will be Rose-Hulman's 30
th career match-up with Greenville.
* The series is currently even, with Rose-Hulman recording a 13-3-3 career mark.
* The Fightin' Engineers are currently on a two-game winning streak with back-to-back 2-1 victories.
* Rose-Hulman leads the series 17-1-2, with their first matchup taking place in 2000.
* The Fightin' Engineers won four consecutive games from 2014-17.
* The teams played against each other for the first time in 1979, with Greenville winning 5-1.
WILMINGTON NOTES:
* Wilmington was voted to finish fifth in the OAC with 29 points.
* The Quakers posted an 11-6-3 overall record with a 4-5 conference mark.
* They ended the 2024 season on a five-game losing streak.
* Wilmington concluded the year with a 5-1 defeat to Otterbein in the first round of the OAC Tournament.
* The Quakers bring back three all-conference honorees in sophomore second-teamer Parker Burke and third teamers, senior Kaden Young and junior Jace Houck.
* Burke scored 22 goals during the 2024 season, with a career-high five goals against Franklin.
SERIES HISTORY:
* This will be Rose-Hulman's fifth ever match against Wilmington.
* Wilmington leads the series with a 2-0-2 record with wins in 1993 & 1994.
* Rose-Hulman and Wilmington are coming off consecutive ties with scores of 1-1 in 2024 and 0-0 in 2010.
