JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team wrapped up their opening weekend at the Lady Blues Challenge with a win over North Central 3-1. This continues the team's hot start, improving their record to 3-0 to start the year.
Greta Carlson was the standout for the Fightin' Engineers, leading the team with 22 kills and a .606 hitting percentage. Her 22 kills ranks 11th for the most kills in a single match in school history, just one away from making the top 10.
The team had three players reach double figures in digs to lead the defense, including
Lily Ebright with 15,
Julia Irmen with 11, and
Aurora Schmidt with 10.
After dropping the first set to the Cardinals 25-19, Rose-Hulman bounced back with three straight wins with scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-19 to complete the weekend sweep.

Lily Ebright all received All-Tournament Team for their efforts across the weekend of competitions.
The Fightin' Engineers volleyball team will return home to host the Rose-Hulman Invitational on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6. The team will start their home invite facing Westminster (Mo.) on Friday night at 7:30 PM.
