Men's Soccer Drops Road Match Against Wilmington Quakers

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Rose-Hulman men's soccer team suffered their first loss of the year in their road match against Wilmington on Sunday with a score of 2-0. This drops the team to 1-1 overall this season.

The Fightin' Engineers controlled the momentum for most of the first half, out-shooting the Quakers 6-3. Wilmington was able to take the lead, connecting with the net in the 26th minute to stand ahead 1-0 at the halftime break.

Rose-Hulman kept pressure on the Quaker keeper with six more shots in the second half, but the team could not find the equalizer. The Quakers would put up another goal in the 83rd minute to secure the win and hand Rose-Hulman their first loss of the season.

Eli Miller, Chase Kedzior, and Evan Lipsky all led the team with two shots each in the match. Justin Burns represented the Engineers in goal, totaling five saves in the contest.

The Fightin' Engineers men's soccer team will look to bounce back in their home opener on Wednesday, September 3, against Wabash College at 7 PM.
