TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Fightin' Engineer's football team will open up conference play hosting Hanover College for Homecoming on Saturday, October 4, at 2 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 0-3 so far this season after falling to DePauw, Trine, and Albion.
* The team comes off a close loss to the Albion Britons with a final score of 25-17.

Trevor Saguto earned HCAC Athlete of the Week for his performance against Albion.
* Saguto totaled six punts for 228 yards with an average of 38 yards per punt and a long of 48 yards.
* Saguto was also perfect on field goals, draining one from 28 yards out and making both of his extra point attempts.

Jay Smith is the team's leading rusher with 218 yards and one rushing touchdown.
*
Adam Yue leads the team under center with 325 yards passing and one passing touchdown.

Kolton Nanko is the team's top receiver with 125 yards receiving and one touchdown.

Rudy Griffing leads the defense with 29.0 tackles on the year.
* He is joined by
Gabe Adams, who leads the team with 4.5 tackles for loss, three QB hurries, and 1.5 sacks this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish third in the HCAC Preseason Poll, conducted by the league's head coaches.
* The team earned 26 points in the preseason poll results.
* Rose-Hulman finished last season in third place in the HCAC after earning an overall record of 5-5 and a conference record of 4-2.
* The team returns five HCAC All-Conference selections from last year, including

* The Panthers currently stand at 1-2 overall this season.
* The team earned their first win of the season against Alma with a final score of 24-23.
* Eian Roudebush leads the team under center with 519 yards passing and five passing touchdowns.
* Don Dunning is the standout in the backfield, leading the team with 105 rushing yards.
* Curbrian Shelby leads the receiving core with 139 yards receiving and one touchdown.
* On the defensive end, Hanover is led by Brian Wall with 34.0 tackles on the year.
* Ben Lafferty is another standout with a team-high 3.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks.
* Hanover was selected to finish second in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning 31 points and one first-place vote.
* The Panthers are led by Head Coach Matt Theobald in his 10th season at Hanover.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Hanover will travel to take on Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, October 11, at 1:30 PM.
