CARMEL, Ind. – Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish second in the conference in the HCAC Preseason Poll.
The Fightin' Engineers earned 40 points in the poll, where they received two first-place votes. They trail reigning HCAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Transylvania, as the Pioneers garnered 46 points in the poll with five first-place votes. Earlham placed overall, earning 39 points and one first-place vote.
Rose-Hulman has finished the past two seasons as the HCAC Regular Season Runners-Up, posting a 4-2 HCAC record in 2023-24 and a 6-1 HCAC record in 2024-25. They qualified for the tournament semifinals in both seasons and advanced to the HCAC Championship Match in 2023-24.
Head Coach
Matt Wilson is back for his third season leading the program, and he has achieved a 10-3 overall conference record. He brings back his entire team from last season, highlighted by the return of five all-conference honorees.
Sophomores
Lia Taylor and
Emerson Donaldson were each named to the All-HCAC First Team, with Taylor also being awarded the HCAC Newcomer of the Year. Taylor posted records of 5-2 in singles and 6-1 in doubles against HCAC opponents while primarily playing No. 1 and No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. Donaldson added records of 5-2 in both singles and doubles play, primarily appearing at No. 1 and No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles.
Sophomores
Addie Patterson and
Nova Gladden, and senior
Camille Clark, also hauled in All-HCAC Honorable Mention honors. Patterson recorded a perfect 6-0 singles record in the HCAC, Gladden recorded an 11-4 overall record at No. 3 doubles, and Clark finished the season 9-8 at No. 2 doubles.
The Fightin' Engineers will begin the season against DePauw on Tuesday, February 3, at 5 PM. Their first HCAC contest will be on the road against Berea on Saturday, March 14, at 10 AM, and their Senior Day will be held during the regular season finale on Sunday, April 26, at 10 AM against Manchester.
