VALPARAISO, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers are back in action as they are set to compete in consecutive meets. Rose-Hulman will face Valparaiso on Friday, January 9, at 6 PM in Valparaiso, Ind., and Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday, January 10, at 2 PM in Bloomington, Ill. Only Illinois Wesleyan will stream their competition, and Live Stats can be found on the Meet Mobile app for both meets.
ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S SWIM & DIVE NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have recorded a 2-2 mark on the season.
* The team concluded November with victories over Anderson (152-62) and Wittenberg (149-60).
* Rose-Hulman is coming off a first-place finish out of ten teams at the Wooster Invitational.
* RHIT accumulated 1,730 points as a team, while Mount Union placed second with 1,690 points.

Trevor Wiley and
Eric Sinclair each achieved three first-place finishes.
* Wiley won the 200 Individual Medley (1:53.00), 400 Individual Medley (4:04.25), and 200 Butterfly (1:51.94) events.
* For his efforts, Wiley was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Eric Sinclair won the 100 Breaststroke (55.62), 200 Breaststroke (2:04.73), and 100 Individual Medley (53.41) events.

Carter Kirtz achieved three second-place finishes for Rose-Hulman.
* Kirtz placed second in the 100 Breaststroke (55.99), 200 Breaststroke (2:05.12), and 100 Individual Medley (54.74) events.
* RHIT defeated Illinois Wesleyan by a score of 145-75 last season.
ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S SWIM & DIVE NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have posted a 2-1 record this season.
* The squad won back-to-back meets against Anderson (140-62) and Wittenberg (149-127) in November.
* Rose-Hulman followed up those wins with a fourth-place finish at the Wooster Invitational.
* RHIT earned 815.5 points as a team.

Avery Witt led the way for Rose-Hulman with a first-place finish in the 200 Backstroke (2:10.60) and a second-place finish in the 100 Backstroke (59.80).
* Following her performance, Witt was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.

Ritu Bharamaraddi recorded a third-place finish in the 100 Backstroke (1:00.01) and fourth-place finish in the 100 Individual Medley (1:04.04).

Catherine Bath added fourth-place finishes in the 200 Freestyle (1:58.26) and 500 Freestyle (5:15.90).
* Rose-Hulman recorded a 164-108 victory over Illinois Wesleyan last season.
