WOOSTER, Ohio. – Rose-Hulman has won the Wooster Invitational, achieving a total of 1,730 points to secure first place. The Fightin' Engineers opened the three-day event in third place, improved to second place on day two, and jumped to first on the final day to win the competition.
 
Trevor Wiley and Eric Sinclair dominated the competition as both athletes recorded first place finishes in three solo events.
 
Trevor Wiley won the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 1:53.00 as well as the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:04.25. He recorded his third victory in the 200 Butterfly, achieving a time of 1:51.94.
 
Eric Sinclair won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 55.62 and the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:04.73. Sinclair added his third victory in the 100 Individual Medley, posting a time of 53.41.
 
Carter Kirtz also delivered a great performance, placing second overall in three solo events. Kirtz finished second to Sinclair in both the 100 Breaststroke and 200 Breaststroke with times of 55.99 and 2:01.12. He added a second place finish in the 100 Individual Medley with a time of 54.74.
 
Wiley, Levi Galaviz, and Tommaso Calviello also recorded two second-place finishes in their respective relay events.
 
Mount Union placed second in the competition with 1,690 points while hosts, Wooster placed third overall with 1,464 points.
 
The Fightin' Engineers will look to continue their dominance as they face Valparaiso on the road on Friday, January 9 at 6 PM.
