TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced their weekly awards for the sport of football. Jack LeCrone has been named HCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week, and Peter Cohen has earned HCAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week for their performances against #25 Heidelberg on Saturday. 

LeCrone had a standout performance in Rose-Hulman's loss to #25 Heidelberg on Saturday. The senior civil engineering major totaled seven tackles, including four solo tackles. He also added one sack, one tackle for loss, and an interception. 

Peters continued to produce for the Fightin' Engineers on special teams. The freshman mechanical engineering major was 2-for-3 on field goal attempts, with makes from 26 and 46 yards out. He was also a perfect 1-for-1 on extra point attempts. 

This is the second HCAC Athlete of the Week award for Peters, and the first career honor for LeCrone in their college careers with Rose-Hulman.

The Rose-Hulman football team will hit the road this weekend to face Hanover in HCAC play on Saturday, October 24, at 1:30 PM.
