HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team suffered a loss to Hope College with a final score of 5-2. This drops the Fightin' Engineers to 1-4 overall this season.
After falling in the doubles competition, Rose-Hulman bounced back with some strong performances in singles play.
Ephraim Guthrie earned an exciting win at No. 4 singles with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3).
Eli McIntyre was the other singles winner, earning a victory at the No. 5 spot with a score of 6-3, 6-1.
Rose-Hulman will return to action for their Florida Trip in the first week of March. The team will face Concordia Wisconsin on Monday, March 2.
