TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team enters the HCAC Tournament as the #3 seed and will host the #6-seeded Hanover Panthers on Saturday, February 21, at 2 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman ended the regular season with a record of 16-9 overall and 13-5 in the HCAC.
* The team secured the #3 seed in the HCAC Tournament.
* The Fightin' Engineers wrapped up the regular season with a win over Earlham with a final score of 66-49.

Joey Schmitz currently leads the team with 14.6 points per game while shooting 42.6% from beyond the arc.

Christian Torres leads the team on the glass with 6.7 rebounds per game, while also totaling 8.3 points per game this season.

Cole Pride has been another difference maker, totaling 12.6 points per game and a team-high 24 blocked shots.

Evan Gentile has been a standout freshman for the squad, averaging 10.5 points per game and shooting 39.6% from beyond the arc.

Daniel Savovic is another effective scorer, averaging 10.2 points per game and totaling 57 assists on the year.

Nate Smith has also made an impact this season as a freshman, leading the team with 71 assists and 42 steals.
* The team is led by Head Coach
Nick Sales in his fourth season with the Fightin' Engineers.
* With a win, Rose-Hulman will advance to the HCAC Semifinals on Friday, February 27.
HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover finished the regular season with a record of 13-12 overall and 9-9 in the HCAC.
* The Panthers earned the #6 seed in the HCAC Tournament.
* The team finished the regular season, falling to Transylvania with a final score of 73-60.
* Malachi McNair leads the team, averaging a double-double with 16.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
* CJ Walls is another effective scorer with 13.2 points per game.
* Cam Freeman has been the facilitator for the Panthers, with a team-high 120 assists and 27 steals.
* As a team, Hanover is shooting 46% from the floor and 35.4% from beyond the arc.
* The team is led by Head Coach Jon Miller in his 18th season with the Panthers.
* With a win, Hanover will advance to the HCAC Semifinals on Friday, February 27.

* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series against Hanover with a record of 48-62 against the Panthers.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won their last two games against Hanover this season.
* Rose picked up a win at home with a score of 81-61, and stole a win on the road after double overtime with a final score of 87-80.
* Before this year, Hanover had won nine straight games against Rose-Hulman, dating back to the 2021-22 season.
