BEREA, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team picked up a shutout in to open HCAC play over the Berea Mountaineers with a final score of 7-0. The win improves the team to 4-6 overall this season.
The Fightin' Engineers started the match by sweeping the doubles competition.
Ervin Perkowski teamed up with
Renato Prado to win at No. 1 doubles 6-0.
Dale Loveland and Nicholas Loveland partnered up at No. 2 doubles to win 6-0. The No. 3 team of
Andres Munoz Coryn and
Jayden Scott picked up a win by default to finish out the doubles play.
Rose-Hulman continued their dominance by sweeping the singles competition. Perkowski earned the win at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1. Prado represented Rose at the No. 2 spot with a win, 6-0, 6-0.
Andres Munoz Coryn rounded out the top three singles players with a win at the No. 3 spot, 6-0, 6-1.
Rose-Hulman men's tennis will return home to host MSOE on Wednesday, March 18, at 5:30 PM.
