BEREA, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team picked up a shutout win over the Berea Mountaineers to start their HCAC schedule with a final score of 7-0. The win improves the team to 4-6 overall this season.
The team started the match by sweeping the doubles competition.
Emerson Donaldson teamed up with
Addie Patterson to earn a win at No. 1 doubles 6-1.
Brooke Carpenter and
Abigail Kallio earned the win at No. 2 doubles, 6-0. The No. 3 team of
Paige Mills and
Isha Mannan claimed the victory by default to complete the sweep in doubles play.
Rose-Hulman continued their momentum into singles play. Donaldson earned the win in the No. 1 spot, 6-0, 6-0. Mills won at the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-1. Patterson rounded out the top three singles players with a win, 6-0, 6-0.
The women's tennis team will return to action on the road against Trine on Saturday, March 21, at 11 AM.
