ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team suffered a tough loss to the Trine Thunder with a final score of 7-0. The loss drops the team to 4-7 overall this season.
Nova Gladden and
Emerson Donaldson were the standouts in doubles play, earning a win at the No. 3 spot with a score of 7-6 (7-5).
Donaldson also had a strong performance at No. 2 singles, falling to her opponent after a third-set tiebreaker with scores of 6-1, 4-6, 0-1 (5-10).
Autumn Korey had another close match at No. 5 singles with scores of 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 0-1 (4-10). Gladden was another singles match that went to a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 6 spot with scores of 6-4, 2-6, 0-1 (6-10).
Rose-Hulman women's tennis will return home to host Franklin in HCAC play on Sunday, March 22, at 11 AM.
