TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers have moved into first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup standings after the conclusion of the 2025-26 winter season. 

The Fightin' Engineers stood in second at the conclusion of the fall sports seasons. Rose earned three HCAC titles during the winter, including men's swimming and diving, men's indoor track & field, and women's indoor track & field, to climb to the top of the rankings. 

The department currently leads Transylvania, which stands in second, by 5.14 points. The Fightin' Engineers also lead the third-place Hanover Panthers by 11.97 points. 

The Commissioner's Cup is awarded to the institution accumulating the most standings points in the HCAC's league championship events and is widely regarded as the most prestigious honor among the 10 conference institutions. The Fightin' Engineers won the 2024-25 Commissioner's Cup, claiming their ninth cup in school history. 

Rose-Hulman currently stands in first-place in the Men's All-Sports standings with 45.8 points, leading the second-ranked Hanover Panthers by 7.16. The Fightin' Engineers rank second in the Women's All-Sports standings, trailing Transylvania by 8.84 points. 

The Commissioner's Cup came into existence in 2005-06, and Rose-Hulman hopes to win its 10th Commissioner's Cup in the 21-year history of the award.
