Women's Tennis Claims Shutout Win Over Concordia Wisconsin

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team started their Florida trip with a shutout win over Concordia Wisconsin with a final score of 7-0. The win improves the team to 2-4 overall this season. 

The team had an incredible performance to start the match, sweeping the doubles competition. Lia Taylor and Addie Patterson picked up the win at No. 1 singles with a final score of 7-6. Julia Burt and Camille Clark earned a victory at No. 2 doubles with a score of 6-2. Kaitlyn Pfund and Nova Gladden finished strong with a win at No. 3 doubles with a score of 6-2. 

The Fightin' Engineers continued their momentum into the singles competition to complete the sweep and the shutout win. 

Emerson Donaldson earned a win at the No. 1 spot with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Taylor represented Rose in No. 2 singles in a tight match with scores of 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4). Paige Mills rounded out the top three singles players with a victory in the No. 3 position with scores of 6-3, 6-1. 

The Fightin' Engineers will return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, in a doubleheader against Capital and Allegheny at 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
